About Kathleen D. Jordan (KD) {She/Her}
Once upon a time, many moons ago, an artist named Kathleen D. Jordan was gifted into the world with the bold and rich imagination and bubbly rays of sunshine.
Since she was a toddler, KD has been drawing airplanes with faces inside the windows. KD has been sewing since the age of twelve, when she was taught by a friend of her mother's.
KD's interest in costuming blossomed after winning a costume design contest at her high school for a community theatre production of AIDA. Her interests grew after being inspired by other fan arts and cosplays of her favorite shows and movies.
Currently KD is based in the Scranton/Wilkes Barre area in Pennsylvania, and is a recent graduate of Shenandoah University with a BFA in Theatre Design and Production with a costume emphasis. KD is very excited about all the opportunities there are out there and all of the projects she will put out in the world in the future.
Some highlights of her theatrical work include: Broadway's Back to the Future: The Musical, Harmony: A New Musical, Arte Picture's The Showdown, Shenandoah University's The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, Tuck Everlasting and A Midsummer Night's Dream, Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre's Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella; and some performances as drag king Broxxolid in Alpha Psi Omega's Lipsync Show, Actor in The Laramie Project and The Vagina Monologues at Shenandoah University.
KD has also supported many people by creating numerous face masks to help them out during the pandemic in the summer of 2020.
Whether it's at the request of a commissioner or created during her own free time, KD enjoys creating art in many different forms as shown in her galleries.
